The Nepalese women play the leading role in the reconstruction of Nepal, after the earthquake of April 2015. They do the hardest work of clearing the rubble without overshadowing their domestic and land work. Despite having suffered from slavery since young girls, the Nepalese women lead the socio-cultural changes experienced by this Himalayan country.

The Foundation, DAF helps the earthquake victims building shelter homes, latrines and potable water tanks, and helping the Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital in Kathmandu. With this exhibition on the women’s role in Nepal, DAF wants to encourage solidarity with this country and emphasize the importance to provide their children with education so that they do not fall in the networks of human traffickers.

Don’t miss the speech-presentation by Dr. Armando Menéndez Suárez from the Foundation, DAF, taking place next Tuesday, 5th December, at 19.30 hours, in the Auditorium of the CCIC
