NEW DAF SCHOLARSHIPS PROMOTION

Publication date: July 22, 2017

On the occasion of the new scholarship promotion for girls granted by DAF, Armando Menéndez wants to thank both collaborators and partners of his foundation for having achieved one of its main objectives.

Dear friends,

A new promotion of girls will finish their studies  thanks to your generosity and our tireless work.

Since 1998, we have been sowing the seeds of a new society in India where women will not be the worst off and the victim of an endemic machismo.

The only solution is not to impose our life model on them, but that they change their society themselves from a position of equality.

Our foundation believes this will only be possible by facilitating higher education and access to production means. That is why we give scholarships to girls who in turn commit themselves to help others in their same situation once they are professionals.

Our school in Bihar, along with those of Calcutta and Bombay, makes us one of the foundations most committed to the equality of women in India.

More than 1,500 girls have received our scholarships, and their influence in their midst can be multiplied by 10, by social resonance and the imitation phenomenon.
So, we could say that you have helped 15,000 girls to overcome misery and slavery..

In their name, I thank all those who collaborate with the foundation DAF.
